About MyeSIMPlan
We match travelers to the right eSIM plan. Not the cheapest. Not the flashiest. The right one for how you travel.
Why MyeSIMPlan exists
The eSIM market solved one problem and created another. You no longer need to swap a plastic SIM card when you land in a new country, but now there are dozens of providers, hundreds of plans, and no clear way to decide which one is right for your trip. Most comparison sites dump a giant grid on you and walk away. We do the opposite.
MyeSIMPlan is built around personalized matching. We look at where you are going, how long you will be there, what phone you carry, and how heavily you use data. Then we recommend the single plan we would buy ourselves, with two solid alternatives in case your priorities differ.
How we recommend
Our recommendation rests on four inputs, weighted by how much they affect the outcome:
- Destination: Which local networks are available and which providers sell a plan there. None of the five publishes which carrier it routes through in a given country, so we do not guess at one.
- Usage profile: Light, moderate or heavy. This is the single biggest factor in what you should buy.
- Trip length: Per-gigabyte or unlimited day-pass? Trip length decides the economics.
- Budget: Breaks any ties in favor of the lowest price that still meets your needs.
The five providers we score
We deliberately recommend only five providers. A short list is one we can keep current, check after check. Each one below leads on something we can point at in public.
- HelloRoam: First on our rubric. A 180-day refund window and support in 63 languages, 24/7.
- Holafly: Best unlimited. From $2.99/day with no GB cap. Ideal for heavy users.
- Airalo: Widest reach. 200 destinations and regional multi-country bundles on one eSIM.
- Saily: Best privacy. Built by the NordVPN team, with a VPN on every plan.
- Nomad: Lowest fixed rate at $3.00/GB published, and the best per-GB prices in Southeast Asia.
How we stay current
We check every published figure against the provider's own site, and the figures across this site were last checked in . We re-check before shipping any change to a page that carries a price, and we roll that date forward when we do. We do not promise a weekly or monthly schedule, because a date you can verify beats a cadence you cannot. Spot a gap between our pages and a provider's live offer? Email us and we will check it and correct the fact.
How we make money
We may earn a commission when you purchase through our links. That keeps the site running. The quiz, calculator, guides and comparisons are all free.
We do not ask you to take the ranking on trust. The five rubric weights are published, the fact behind every score is published, and the arithmetic that turns one into the other runs in code that fails the build if a badge stops matching the numbers. HelloRoam finishes first and loses three of the five dimensions: Holafly beats it on per-GB value, Airalo beats it on plan flexibility and destination count, and those losses print in the same table as the win.
