Some carrier-specific or regional variants may have eSIM disabled. Check Settings > Connections > SIM manager; if you see an "Add eSIM" option, your phone supports it.

Dual SIM on Samsung

Samsung Galaxy phones with eSIM support dual SIM: one physical nano-SIM and one eSIM active simultaneously. For travel, keep your home carrier on the physical SIM for calls and texts, and use the travel eSIM for data only. In SIM manager, set the travel line as your preferred network for mobile data and keep your home line as the default for calls and messages.

Troubleshooting

No Add eSIM option: Your phone may not support eSIM (check your specific model and region), or it may be carrier-locked. Contact your carrier to unlock.

QR code fails to scan: Make sure you are connected to Wi-Fi. Try restarting your phone and scanning again. If the QR code still fails, enter the activation code manually: go to Add eSIM > Enter activation code and type the code provided by your eSIM provider.

No data after activating: In SIM manager, confirm the travel eSIM is set as your mobile data line. Enable data roaming for the travel line. Restart the phone if needed.
